Ea Tolkien Society Meeting Notes for September
Notes from our last meeting on Sept. 19, 2 months ago, at Tolkienmoot XVI. Thanks Brian!
1. Our founder, Hawke Robinson, welcomed our audience, and gave a little introduction about the purpose of the Tolkien Society and our sister event happening the same day (Tolkienmoot).
2. Brian introduced each of the panel speakers with a brief bio.
This year's panelists for Tolkienmoot XVI, The Rise of Numenór (Elros Tar-Minyatur to Tar-Aldarion):

1. What were the influences on J.R.R. Tolkien that led to him writing an "Atlantis myth" for Middle-earth?
2. Within Tolkien's legendarium, what special purpose or niche does Andor (the Land of Gift) and the newly-ennobled Edain play in Arda?
3. What fascinates you about the early years of the realm of Numenór?
4. If Amazon's Lord of the Rings Prime project starts in the early Second Age, what would you like to see brought to the big screen of this time period?
5. What's Sauron up to at this time in Middle-earth history?
