1.      Brian read notes from September

a.      Follow ups: Tolkien thinking of Black Speech

2.      New Business:

a.      RPG Community Center

b.      The One Ring RPG “Strider/solo mode” on Twitch channel

c.      Fall of Numenor book out in November

d.      Tolkienmoot XIX next summer (3^rd week July 2023)

3.      Rings of Power Review

a.      The Good:

                                                    i.     Hawke: Harfoots well done, the casting is good, Halbrand as Sauron very well portrayed as manipulative

                                                   ii.     Corey: Adar the Dark Elf was an interesting character

                                                  iii.     Brian: Dwarves and Khazad-Dum amazing!

                                                  iv.     Anthony: Visualization of Numenor

                                                   v.     Gary: Backgrounds good, plot improved over season

b.      The Bad:

                                                    i.     Hawke:

1.      Because Kinslaying left out, Galadriel and the Elves’ motivation storyline seems broken.

2.      Are any of the writers from MTV Shannara on RoP? (blight, mithril)

3.      Way too much time compression

4.      Galadriel pyroclastic flow—not Superwoman

5.      Belabored the cultists encounter with the Stranger

                                                   ii.     Corey:

1.      Bullying in Aman bothered him (people can’t imagine a pure society)

2.      The mithril tree

3.      Main characters are three women: Galadriel, Miriel, and Nori

                                                  iii.     Brian:

1.      Mithril (mithranium??) is a weird

                                                  iv.     Anthony:

1.      Weird chemistry with Elrond and Galadriel

2.      Changing some of the fundamentals of the legendarium

                                                   v.     Gary:

1.      Elrond

2.      Galadriel

c.      The Hopeful for Season 2:

                                                    i.     Galadriel’s character develop more

                                                   ii.     Numenor line

                                                  iii.     Hopefully adhere more to Tolkien’s legendarium

                                                  iv.     That the music will be more inspirational

                                                   v.     More song and music in show

                                                  vi.     Development over 4 remaining seasons
