2. Anthony read Letter 188
* discussion. author's intent. What gets lost? Sara shares example of
Strider's name in Italian. The troubles of translating fiction.
3. Corey read Letter 189
* When did you read LOTR for the first time? Discussion. Friendly debate
4. We read Letter 190
* discussion--the trouble of translating place-names. Tolkien gets angry
with his publisher.
